FPGA Programming

Introduction
Aim:

To decode an FM or AM radio station digitally.

Using:

• FPGA - Xilinx Spartan
• AtoD Converter - The ?
• 602 - A signal generator and mixer in one.
• Pic Chips - x84,88 and 877

How:
The 602 allows me to mix the external signal and a local oscillator, this gives an intermediate frequecy (ie it's a superheterodyne receiver). I make sure the "intermediate frequency" is suitable to be sampled by the AtoD converter. First I shall use a PC Oscilloscope.
